Coding For The First Time

My certificate when I finished the Flappy Code !

What the interface looks like !
Today, we were learning code for the first time in forever. It was really cool. We learnt that code is what everyone will need to know in the future in order to get jobs and other things. So Miss Haydon is preparing us and giving us the best start by showing us a new website called code.org. It was really fun and interesting too. We started with hour of codes where we had to drag commands in order to make our character/person to do something. There were different hours of code like flappy code, minecraft code, star wars code and many more !

High Jump Tips

High Jumping Tips :
Head Facing Up/Toes Facing up:
When you jump to go over the bar on an high jump, remember to look up and point your toes up while you're in the air.

Run Up Fast To Jump/Run Up Sideways To The Bar:
Remember when you run up to the bar, you always must run sideways to it in order to jump it nicely. And also run up fast.

Left Leg, Right Leg/Right Leg, Left Leg:
Right, right, left left means. when you run up to the bar sideways, the leg nearest to the bar is your lead leg. You must find what’s for comfortable for you. Then when you run up to jump, your lead leg should go over the bar first, then your other leg follows.

Left, Left/Right, Right:
When you jump, you need to remember when you lift your lead leg to go over the bar, you also need to swing your arm up with the leg. When you do that, it propels your legs to go further. For example, if your left leg wants to go over the bar, you also swing your left and and so on.

This term, we also done high jump, It was really fun. And just like when we done running which you can find on my blog, our athletic's teacher, Andy taught us some tips to help us with our high jumps. Hope you really like it !

Running tips

Running Tips:

#1 Run Straight/Look Straight:
When you run, we always look around and that distracts us from running thus making us run wonky. And when you run straight, you get there faster instead of covering more ground when running in a zig zag.

#2 High Knees/Light Feet:
When you have high knees, they help take bigger steps which helps you cover more area when you run. Light feet help you lift your legs so you can run easier.

#3 Tall Back/Cheek To Cheek:
Cheek to cheek means that you move your hand from your left cheek on your face to your left cheek on your bum and you have to do that for both your arms. Your arms also propel your legs to go further too.

This term for physical education we are learning althetics with our wonderful teacher, Andy ! We have learned the key things for running which I have listed above. Hope you enjoy !
